What is a call center?

This is the physical place where most, if not all, of an enterprise company’s customer service interactions happen (small and mid-sized businesses, on the other hand, usually have customer support reps who work in-house and remotely, versus call centers).

Though the term harkens back to the days when all customer service was done by telephone, today’s call centers offer support across many channels at once.
